About the role

The organisation has seen some challenges and has gone through changes in the last years. As an HR Business Partner you are responsible for shaping, executing and follow-up of the HR policies and practices as well as areas such as Recruitment, Induction, Performance Management, to name a few. You have a wide range of HR responsibilities and a diverse workday as a result of that.

Where do you make an impact?

  • Advising; you advise and coach managers in cases of sick leave, performance issues, remuneration and other HR related matters following Dutch law and legislation and the TdH strategy
  • HR Policies; you detect new developments, bottlenecks and practical needs and initiate proposals and policy drafts accordingly.
  • HR Admin; you oversee the entire HR administration and personnel files together with the HR officer.
  • Recruitment: you are assisting line managers where needed in recruitment and selection. You take on employer branding as well as on- and off boarding of employees.
  • Learning & Development: you guide individual and team career development processes, you sense training and schooling needs and you facilitate and coordinate training and workshops.
  • Performance Management: you prepare and guide managers in conducting the Performance Management Cycle.
  • Employability: you are responsible for sick leave management, guiding managers and employees as well as guarding the overall process. You know how to analyse and interpret sick leave data. You are the contact person for the occupational health service provider.

The team

You are part of a Global HR team with colleagues in East Africa and Asia, the HR manager and HR officer in the Hague. You will report to the HR Manager. As a small but global team we will all work closely together to assure alignment in our policies and practices. Together we provide services to 60 people in the Netherlands and about 145 people worldwide.

About you

You are a driven and passionate HR colleague with:

  • A bachelor degree in a relevant field (HRM, Social Studies, Organisational Psychology)

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong business partner for the management team and a sparring partner for the HR manager
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English both written and spoken.
  • Experience in an international setting and/or NGO is a plus
  • Up to date knowledge of Dutch labour law and legislation
  • Pragmatism, organisational and political awareness, flexibility and result-oriented
  • Experience with NMBRS, Homerun and Google Suite is a plus

  • The salary scale for this job depending on experience and seniority ranges from € 3737,- to € 4821,- based on a 36 hour work week.

  • Good secondary benefits in line with the NGO-sector with a pension plan, travel- and working from home allowance and 25 annual leave days.
