Terre des Hommes Netherlands (TdH NL) is an international NGO that prevents child exploitation, rescues children from exploitative situations and ensures that these children can continue their development in a safe environment. In Asia, Terre des Hommes Netherlands works in Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. We support children who are victims of exploitation with education, psychosocial support, legal assistance, care, job opportunities and medical care. We launch public and media campaigns to create awareness on the problem and carry out local research into the extent and nature of abuse and exploitation.
TdH NL in Asia focuses works within four child protection themes: the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC), the Worst Forms of Child Labour (WFCL), Child Trafficking and Migration (CTM), and Child Abuse (CA) in the form of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights. As part of its multi-year strategic plan (2016-2020) Terre des Hommes Netherlands plans to increase its support to comprehensive programs addressing Child Exploitation in Asia.

The Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator (PME) will be part of the Asia Regional Team, normally based in the Regional Office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Under the guidance of the Head of Region, main duties will include planning and implementing PME policies and procedures, providing PME training, capacity development and technical support, quarterly and annual reporting processes and working on PME methodology and strategy development.
Objective of the function
The PME Coordinator is responsible for the (joint) setting up of, advising on, and management of the planning, monitoring and evaluation systems for projects and programs. The coordinator will also develop and implement policies, systems and tools to monitor and evaluate programs/projects and will be a resource for intervention planning, design, reporting and analysis.
Position in the organisation
The PME Coordinator reports to the Head of Region Asia and will also work closely with the global TdH PME team based in The Netherlands. The PME Coordinator provides (functional) guidance and leadership to country teams across the Asia region in relation to quality planning, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and learning.
Result: Quality policy co-developed in such a way that developments have been timely signalled, analysed and translated to the organization and qualitatively good improvement proposals have been brought forward.
Result: PM&E system setup in such a way that standards, tools and instruments have been developed, data have been analysed and the organization’s project/program activities can be accounted for in a timely and correct manner.
Result: Advice given to management and colleagues and information provided in such a way that those involved have been informed and advised in an expert manner.
Result: Contacts have been maintained in such a way that the organization is well represented in external PME circles.
