Philippines government increases funding to support programmes that improve the lives of girls and young women

Violence against young women and girls continues to be a pervasive problem in the Eastern Samar region of the Philippines, but Terre des Hommes Netherlands (TdH NL) is successfully working to eradicate gender-based violence (GBV) through the Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) programme and has been granted a significant increase in funding from the government.
TdH NL empowered women’s group in the Cagpile community in Oras plant trees with help from funds from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
