When awareness is empowerment, TdH and partners combat corona in India

The IMAGE (Initiatives for Married Adolescent Girls’ Empowerment) project in rural Karnataka executed a COVID-19 Response Plan. This is translated into the local language, Kannada, to ensure effective comprehension among the target community.

As part of this initiative, a series of online meetings were organised with field staff from implementing partner organisations. A Rapid Assessment Form was also circulated among beneficiaries and their families.
With this information, awareness materials in the form of pamphlets, audio and video clips were prepared for 15 districts in Karnataka where IMAGE operates. These materials were disseminated to the community, the field staff and project partners through WhatsApp.
