Our Engagement Department plays a vital role in mobilising support, raising awareness, and building partnerships to strengthen our mission.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Engagement Support Officer to join our passionate team. In this role, you will provide essential coordination and administrative support to the Director of Engagement and the wider Engagement Management Team. You will help ensure strategic alignment across our teams (Funding Partnerships, Individual Giving, Shops & Volunteers, and Communications) enabling smooth collaboration and effective internal communication.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Engagement with coordination and administrative tasks;
- Facilitate alignment and collaboration across Engagement teams;
- Coordinate departmental planning, tracking, and reporting;
- Organise and facilitate cross-team meetings and internal communications;
- Ensure timely and high-quality inputs for management reports and strategic deliverables;
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including donor engagement and strategic workshops;
- Maintain a departmental calendar to ensure coordination and representation;
- Act as a liaison between Engagement and other departments (Impact and Operations).
What You Bring
- Proven experience in coordination and operational support within multidisciplinary teams;
- Strong reporting and digital skills, especially in Google Suite;
- Excellent writing and communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- Experience working in or with international organisations;
- A collaborative mindset and strong organisational skills;
- Ability to manage multiple processes and stakeholders with accuracy and efficiency;
- Initiative and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

- The salary scale for this position is scale 8 and, depending on experience, ranges from €3.522,60 to €4.432,50 gross per month for a full-time 36-hour workweek.
- 25 days of paid annual leave based on a full-time contract; pro rata for part-time employees;
- We work hybrid: 50% at the office and 50% from home. We are quite flexible and value your work-life balance;

- A commuting allowance for cycling kilometres or an NS public transport card;
- Our pension scheme is managed by ASR, with Terre des Hommes covering the majority of the pension contribution.
