Terre des Hommes Netherlands aims to prevent child exploitation, to remove children from exploitative situations, and to ensure that these children are able to continue their development in a safe environment.
Terre des Hommes Netherlands focuses on Sexual Exploitation of Children (SEC), the Worst Forms of Child Labour, Child Trafficking and Migration, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and on Child Protection in Humanitarian Crisis. For each of these forms of child exploitation, Terre des Hommes Netherlands is developing and implementing projects and programmes through local partners, mainly in Asia and Africa. Terre des Hommes Netherlands also advocates for policy change at the European Union (EU) level and country level for better policies tackling child exploitation
The Finance Intern works within the Head Office (HO) finance team together with a financial controller, an assistant controller and a finance officer. So great opportunities to learn.
During this internship you will get the opportunity to work along with the finance department. You will support and work together with the team to migrate all financial data of Terre des Hommes independent shops (about 30) to a different accounting software, from Visma to Exact. This may also involve coordination with the treasurers in our shops to help them with this migration.
Secondly, the finance department is writing a finance manual this year. During your internship you can help do this writing. By conducting interviews with the team to learn the processes and then document them.
Thirdly, uploading invoices and payments for processing is part of this internship.
Does this opportunity sound interesting to you and are you excited to contribute to our work? Recruitment is on-going until we have found a successful candidate, so please apply by uploading your CV and motivation letter when you can.
Do you have any specific questions about the role? Contact Jodie Sanderson (Financial controller) on j.sanderson@tdh.nl.
